Change texts

by speeds » Mon Jun 17, 2019 6:46 pm

Hey
I would like to change some texts in this plugin.
When I enter this address - \ thanksforposts \ language \ en \ thanks_mod.php and change the text - I do not see any change we actually make.
What could be the problem?
Why even after the text change, is it still displayed on the previous text site?
I will be happy to help you!
thank you very much!

That is an English language file and changes should be visible immediately after you upload them to the server if you select the corresponding language in UCP.

Hey
I have 8 languages in the system files on the storage server.
I've changed the specific text I want in all languages, but in practice nothing has changed on my site.
What could be the problem?

That file affects user side. If you're checking ACP, you need to change info_acp_thanks.php and permissions_thanks.php.

Do you mean files in the language folder?
What do I need to change exactly in these files?
I would be happy if you could tell me!
thank you very much!

Yes.

Well, you decide :) Just change the language entries the way you'd like to. Language files have to be saved in "UTF8 without BOM" enconing.

Hey, thanks for your reply.
The language of my forum is Hebrew, and the "Thank You" is not yet translated into Hebrew,
So what language should I change?

You need to create your language folder in the extension first (/language/he/), then put english language files there, then translate them to your language.

I created a folder like you said, and copied the files.
Now, how do I set the "Thank you" extension to use the Hebrew language files?

It will be used automatically as you switch your board interface to this language in ACP.
