Can't make it work

by rowan.bradley » Wed Oct 02, 2013 11:04 pm

I think I've uploaded the folders and file to the right place in my phpbb installation. I ran the install page. It didn't seem to give me any progress indication, but eventually I got to the ACP login page. I logged in and purged the cache. But when I go to the Users and Groups tab, there is no sign of any Add User button.

What may have gone wrong?

How can I check that it installed properly? Should I be able to see any new tables or fields in the database? Should I be able to see any new files or changed files in the phpbb installation?

Thanks - Rowan

Check permissions, it might be that.

This is how your ftp client should look(Unzipped MOD on the left) : http://s20.postimg.org/9lrqz5px9/upload_MOD.png

It should look like this: http://s20.postimg.org/71rirbczh/run_installer.png
and after clicking Submit: http://s20.postimg.org/is5g8p5rx/run_installer2.png

The new files should be there - you just uploaded them ;)
Any file edits will need to be done manually (there's none with this MOD) you do this by unzipping the MOD and opening the install.xml file in a browser.

Easiest way though is to install Automod and let that install MODs for you.

Hi Jessica

I have installed the MOD using AutoMOD and I have removed the install.php file and purged the cache.

The Add Users menu item should appear in the Users and Groups tab under Users but is not there.

I am the Founder. What permissions do I need to change? Or what else have I (possibly) not done?

Thanks

It's an Administrative permission..."Can create new user accounts" under User & Groups tab.
