Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CASE

by Nonstopdrivel » Mon Jul 25, 2011 9:34 pm

Normally I have no problems installing MODs (your mChat MOD runs without a hitch on my board), but I am an experiencing an issue with this one. After uploading the files, running the install file, and clearing the cache, I click on the Users and Groups tab, I receive the following message:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CASE in /home/[...]/public_html/forum/includes/acp/acp_users.php on line 2341

Uninstalling the MOD has no effect on this error message. Any ideas on how I might begin to address this error?

You may disregard this thread. It turns out that the problem had to do with the mChat MOD. When I modified the acp_users.php file, I accidentally pasted the mChat MOD code outside the right bracket directly above the

Code: Select all

// Assign general variables
line. Moving the mChat MOD code block inside the bracket solved the problem.The Users and Groups tab of the ACP works perfectly again.

Thanks for an excellent MOD providing a functionality I had wanted for quite some time, and I apologize for the inconvenience.
