Hi,

I'm specifically asking this question about the ADD USER mod, but I'm also curious about the whole 3.0.9 system.

Question: How do I stop the ADD User mod from automatically sending out the user info when I add a new user via the admin panel?

(and can I in general stop this function for the whole board? I use these boards for little mini conferences, and need to register my users long before the conference starts and prefer to just email them the info I need when I want them to join, not when I register them.)

ACP->General->Client Communication->Email Settings

Set "Enable board-wide e-mails:" to Disabled

I'm a little lost, there doesn't seem to be a General/Client Communications on this 3.0.9 ?

ACP->General->Client Communication->Email Settings

I see:

ACP -> System -> General tasks -> Mass e-mail

ACP -> System -> Automation -> General -> Client communication -> E-mail settings

I tried setting this one to NO, but something still generated an email to the user with user passwords

I don't seem to ~have~ a GENERAL tab, could I have accidentally turned that off?

I have :

Forums- Posting - User&Groups - Permissions - Style - Maintanence - System

I don't know what you may have done but that is a default tab in the ACP. You should seek support for it in the support forums if you want to get it back.
