Unresponsive Script - ACP Announcement Centre
Mod Version: 1.2.5
OS: Windows XP/Windows 7/Mac 10.6/Ubuntu 12.04
Browser: IE/Firefox/Safari/Rekonq/I'm sure any others
Browser Version: Doesn't seem to matter
Comfort Level: I'm Linux admin, so I'm at least moderately comfortable with all technologies involved.
Method of install: Manual, including copying prosilver files to the custom theme directories, refreshing all templates, imagesets, themes & purging the cache.
Themes: Artodia Black/Artodia Ultra Blue (both prosilver based)
Additional Info: Let me know if you need any.
Install seemed to go well & for the ACP module everything works as expected. It's not until I try to use the module as a moderator (with Announcement privs) that I have troubles.
When loading the MCP Announcement Centre module in a browser, the browser goes unresponsive for a few moments before a dialog box comes up stating that there is an unresponsive script (mcp.php?i=204:52) & asking if I should allow it to continue running. If I continue to let it run, it chews up more & more memory until I finally kill it. Once I kill it, the page seems to appear & work fine. The browser process at that point is using an enormous amount of memory though.
Using MCP Announcement Centre with prosilver works flawlessly.
The only Browser/OS combination I could get it to work with without the dialog was Windows XP/Firefox 21, and even then, the browser was using ~1.3G of memory compared to a fresh startup memory usage of ~215KB
This is a test site, so if you need some credentials, PM me & I can get those for you.
