No not the version here on phpbb.com

You want version 1.0.6 of the MOD and it works fine with 3.0.12

Edited since a moderator wants to delete the original enquiry but can't tell the difference between first and second posts!

Original post:

Basically, it's not working for me via auto mod. However, the error is below for posting.php:

Image

In my posting.php, it appears the required line reads:

Code: Select all

$redirect_url = submit_post($mode, $post_data['post_subject'], $post_author_name, $post_data['topic_type'], $poll, $data, $update_message, ($update_message || $update_subject) ? true : false);

This line is found on line 1141. The entire block of code reads:

Code: Select all

// The last parameter tells submit_post if search indexer has to be run
$redirect_url = submit_post($mode, $post_data['post_subject'], $post_author_name, $post_data['topic_type'], $poll, $data, $update_message, ($update_message || $update_subject) ? true : false);

I'm guessing here, but if I add that manually, will that work?

Would be nice if this could work via automod though ;)

Actually, I don't NEED to "test it with a vanilla install"; I've just extracted the original posting.php from the zip (ie phpBB-3.0.12.zip which was downloaded from https://www.phpbb.com/files/release/phpBB-3.0.12.zip - I downloaded this myself and uploaded it etc to my own server. Just to also make sure that I'm correct I have even downloaded that exact same zip, extracted it to a different location and is still showing the same contents. In others: no mod I have installed appears to of touched that file.)

Love how you want me to test on a "vanilla install" instead of just answering my original question!

It's ironic that you expect this MOD works perfectly on 3.0.12, while this mod was validated as for 3.0.5...

It's rather ironic that "staff members" here cannot read.

For example, when I made my original post, I actually quoted this:

Peter77sx wrote:No not the version here on phpbb.com

But only my second post (which was made whilst I was still waiting for my first post to be approved) got approved with more details pointing to the actual problem. Ironically, the first post was deleted due to it "[Duplicate post] The post is identical to another post."

Is this the level of support I can expect? Seeing as this is the official site (as far as I can make out) for phpbb I'm far from impressed!

So, will the "fix" I mentioned (ie try adding the required lines before and after that piece of text it is trying to look for) work, or am I taking a step into the "unknown"?

If it's the latter, then I will install a fresh/clean/vanilla copy of phpbb forums on my server and test it

Nice to see noone answered my post - very helpful(!)

Anyway, just to bring you guys up to date: after months of having spam bots register I have decided today to edit the installer, and guess what? It installed using AutoMOD.

AutoMOD says: The target phpBB version for this MOD is 3.0.11, but your forum version is 3.0.12 however it has installed fine.

Also, the ZIP I had downloaded says it was 1.0.6 but once installed it says its 1.0.5

I have attached the ZIP if people want to have a copy of it:
Anti-Spam ACP 1.0.6.zip
(178.96 KiB) Downloaded 169 times
