Install help questions with Theme: Deluxe

by xptoast » Sat Jul 21, 2012 10:55 pm

I am trying to use the "Deluxe" theme and can't seem to get this mod to work with it. It says it is installed but it isn't showing any actual activity. I am trying it out on my test board before I put it on the public board. Can you please help me get this to work?

Test Board URL: http://testforum1.buddyplex.com/
Problem: Won't show the check working on the registration page

What I have done so far is try to install on prosilver and then make the changes needed to the deluxe theme. Results:

breizh_ajax_checks_1.3.0

main instructions
[non existant] - styles/prosilver/template/ucp_profile_reg_details.html
[non existant] - styles/prosilver/template/ucp_register.html
[non existant] - styles/prosilver/theme/common.css

subsilver instructions
[non existant] - styles/subsilver2/template/ucp_profile_reg_details.html
[non existant] - styles/subsilver2/template/ucp_register.html
[non existant] - styles/subsilver2/theme/stylesheet.css

Hello,

This style is a legacy of prosilver templates.
All non-existing html file in this style is made in prosilver.
You need to try everything that is shown at the bottom of the install.xml file to bring up images of the mod

Do you mean this stuff?

1. Go to ACP -> Styles -> Templates -> refresh the Templates
2. Go to ACP -> Styles -> Themes -> refresh the Themes
3. Go to ACP -> Styles -> Imagesets -> refresh the Imagesets
4. Purge the forum cache -> ACP index -> Purge the cache
5. You may also need to refresh your browser's cache if you still do not see changes (F5 or ctrl+F5).

Because if you do, I already have tried that a couple of times. I have tried a couple times and still can't get it to work.

Could you please rephrase? I am not currently understanding what you are trying to say.

The text is now working but the images are not coming in...

Your post was not clear. The broken english isn't helping much but I did try AGAIN and now it is working. It is such a pain in the butt to have to do the same instructions over and over to get it working. Thanks though...

It's not my fault if you do not know to apply simple instructions who can be found in a lot of mods
And again, in the first message, we can see that you tried to install the subsilver2 instructions on a prosilver style.
Sorry, but it's up to you to question when something is wrong and do not come crying that you do not understand simple things.
I know that not everyone has different abilities to understand, but it's not my place to do your education ....

Whoaw man. I was just saying I couldn't understand what you were saying. I had done those same instructions multiple times. I know how to refresh the stuff and have been doing that for a while now. It just wasn't working.

I looked into the subsilver thing because someone had told me in one of these help threads that sometimes you have to use that on themes that weren't standard. I was trying everything I could think of.

I'm not a coder and this stuff is all pretty new to me. I have only been messing with this stuff since April. I came for help from someone that knew what they were doing. If I knew what I was doing so well then I wouldn't ask questions. You gotta understand that you were in a position to actually be helpful instead of being very rude. I was trying to understand the broken english as well as I could but sometimes it just doesn't work. I know your frustrated with this but you didn't have to be rude.

I like the tools but the attitude wasn't necessary or warranted. I'm asking you for help because you are capable. That should be a compliment. I'm not claiming to know what I am doing. I am claiming to know only some things. I had refreshed the board numerous times.

Sorry I pissed you off so much

This guy is a complete jerk. Don't let him bother you xp. He seems to be around an eighteen to twenty year old snob. If not it seems like it. Don't go to his site to get any support. There is none. He may be able to code with all of the bells and whistles, but no tact in dealing with difficult, or delicate situations. I think anyone can see that he's a complete jerk!
