The MOD is pretty self-explanatory - after installation, you'll find a series of entries in the MOD tab of your administration control panel - as seen in the screenshots. Besides the main configuration page, where you can enable the MOD and change a few settings, there's a link to a page for adding logos and header backgrounds for forums and categories and a link for doing the same for other pages like search, the memberlist or even installed other MODs like the gallery. Each adjustable setting is explained beside the field you have to click or fill out.

If you have any further questions, please ask a bit more specific.

Hey, I just installed this mod....is there a style sheet or html sheet that I can use to edit the size and spacing of my logos and backgrounds? As you can see here I made the logo/banner in the helmets forum of my board and it's off center....I made it the same size as the banner on the index page.

Thanks

Hi,

Your main page uses a logo which is defined as background image - on the "Team Helmets" page you used a logo which overlays the background image. The easiest way would be to define a background header image only for the specified forum without specifying a logo and add the following code in your over_header.html file:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF SITE_BG_IMG -->
<style type="text/css">
<!--
#top_logo {background: url('{SITE_BG_IMG}') no-repeat;}
-->
</style>
<!-- ENDIF -->

Regards,

Some instructions would be helpful. I installed, and there is nothing indicating how to add a new header image. I can go to the Forum categories and logo assignment page, but my only option Add a new pair... but the drop down boxes say No custom logo / No custom background image. I have absolutely no idea what I am supposed to do with this mod at this point.

you have to upload some images in the images/logos and images/backgrounds folder of your phpBB installation.

Ah. I didn't see anything anywhere that indicated that. Thank you.

EDIT: Here's a suggestion for a future update - a way to select more than one assignment at a time, to make deletion quicker. I managed to assign a logo to all the forums (about fifty of them), but now that I want to try a different image, I need to go back and delete all fifty - click the X, confirm, click back to page. Time consuming! Anyway, nice plugin. Thanks.

Wait... wait a minute... can I not change the MAIN forum logo with this plugin? All I really want to do is insert a custom header image into the overall forum! Will this plugin not accomplish that?

You can choose the default image - which is also the image for the main page - in the styles --> imageset part of the ACP.

Wow... thanks so much for that little tidbit. That's all I was trying to do in the first place - change the global header image. I'm coming from SMF so I was trying to figure out how to do this *without* editing 37 php files. Much appreciated!
