Once you make the change you have to refresh your browser to reload the js file.

I have been using mChat for over a year without any issues at all. Suddenly 2-3 weeks ago the double posting started happening sporadically. It coincides with my moving to a new server so it seems the problem is environment-related. If it keeps occurring I will attempt the fix as described earlier in this topic. Right now, the problem is fairly infrequent. Thought I'd share, thanks.

i have 1 user reporting getting double posts on auto-refresh, too. he's using safari on ipad (but then so am i and others).

however a little later, also saw this issue myself for the first time (in our second chat session since installing the mod). it looked like there were about 4 messages posted at exactly the same time, and those 4 messages got duplicated for me.

after that, when messages went back to being posted one after the other, i did not see any further duplication.

does this description help, and do you have any advice, Rich?

It is more than likely a server issue...the script isn't getting a timely response from the server.

This is already fixed in version 1.3.8 and any time you make a change to a javascript file you have to reload your browsers cache to load the new version of the js file.
