I would like to be able to toggle on/off the 'User's digest options' portion of the digest report.
I am admittedly a PHP novice, but assuming lacking a toggle, I will have to edit the template.
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

This will be considered for a feature in the Digest extension. It probably won't be in the first release. You can manually remove these lines from the email templates. Look in /language/en/email for .html files with the word digest in the file name.
