Hi Mark and thank you for years of happy digesting.
I've migrated my site with your digests 2.2.16 to a new host and all is working well. The digests are going out again, no problems - apart from the occasional early termination due to PHP safe mode timing out which I cannot adjust at my host.
So I figure it would be better to upgrade to your more recent releases which send the emails in faster batches and also to benefit from your more recent improvements.
I've found your upgrade instructions for each single version step (eg 2.2.16 to 2.2.17 etc). What I can't figure out is whether I must do 11 single version upgrades to get up to 2.2.27 or whether there is a rolled-up upgrade to take me all the way in one process.
Thanks, David.
Upgrade 2.2.16 to 2.2.27 - phpBB Digests
Re: Upgrade 2.2.16 to 2.2.27
David, unfortunately upgrading from 2.2.16 to 2.2.27 is pretty challenging. That's because there are small errors in the upgrade instructions in all those versions and doing it manually makes it easy to make a mistake.
2.2.27 is meant to run with phpBB 3.0.14 and probably won't install correctly on versions before 3.0.11. If you are not on 3.0.14 I would recommend upgrading to 3.0.14 first. You will probably overwrite all the file changes for digests when you do this. Install AutoMOD if it's not already installed and install Digests 2.2.27. When you run the digests_install.php it should upgrade the digest settings too, since you have not explicitly removed them from the database with the uninstaller. This will keep all the present subscriptions
Back up everything (files and database) before doing anything like this as it is risky.
You may prefer to have me upgrade it for you. Since upgrading digests is the same work for me as installing it, I charge the same fee which you can find on my website. Contact me if you want pricing for this option.
Or you can hang on a few months more and hopefully my digests extension for phpBB 3.1 will get approved. It should carry forward your setting and subscribers as part of the installation.

Mark
When are you likely to hear as regards the approval. This is the main thing preventing my upgrade to 3.1

If you are willing to take the risk, there is a stable beta release of the digests extension on my GitHub you can install.
