Description
-
The mod allows you to quickly create forms which can then be use by your members to post using a form instead of the usual text method. The mod is ideal for forums dealing with reviews, bug reports, requests etc...
When posting a new post in a forum where a form has been created, the poster will have access to a "Form Mode" button. Clicking on this button change from the normal text method of posting, to the form method... Editing and replies are *unchanged...
ACP:
Please note we do not use conformation for every action in the ACP, this has the effect of speeding up the process substantially... An image is displayed to indicate a process has completed... looks and feels like Ajax as there is no noticeable page refresh...
- Every forum can its own Form...
- To add a Form simply select a forum from the dropdown list...
- To remove or delete a Form simply delete all its elements...
- Adding attachments are supported (loading directly from the form)...
- During the form build process, you can preview the form...
Posting:
Validation of form data relies on HTML5 (client side validation) and is supported in Firefox, Opera, Chrome, IE 10 and other browsers. At the time of writing, Safari does not yet support HTML5 (ATOP) form validation however, the mod can still be used provided the poster check their entries manually. If the forms are used to collect crucial data, you may wish to add your own javascript validation code to styles/prosilver/template/forms/form_maker.html. The mod supports all HTML5 form types...
Form Elements:
- Text...
- Text Box..
- Select Box..
- Radio Buttons..
- Check Box...
- Email...
- Password...
- Email...
- File (attachment)...
Requirements:
The mod require three bbcodes be added ACP > POSTING
to achieve nice looking posts. The information is supplied in the DIY instructions...
Planned:*
Currently the Form is only used during posting, I intend to allow editing posts in Form Mode too...
Provide better support for forms used in bug reports etc. (hidden and/or admin/staff editable fields only)...
Changes/Updates:
Check out the image #4 (no styling) and image #8 (using the bbcodes)...
