Blinking number + colored text on unread + original font!

by Vattenpistol » Sun Jul 27, 2014 6:27 pm

Hi.

I want the PM number to be blinking with black color, the unread message text to be blue and the font to stay the same as the rest of the page (my original font).

If I enable blinking and formatting text in ACP then I can change the unread message to be blue, otherwise I can not. But everything starts blinking if I enable that option and I just want the number to blink.

So how can I fix this?

Suppose that number "1" is blinking,
are you talking about something like this? :
1 new message & 3 unread messages

or something like that?:
1 new message & 3 unread messages

First option:
- Colour
1. Set "Colour of number:" to #000000
2. Set "Colour of text:" to #000000
3. Set "Colour of unread:" to #105289
- Main Configuration
1. Set "blinking and formatting the number PM:" to Yes
2. Set "blinking and formatting text:" to No
3. Set "showing unread PM:" to Yes
- Font
1. "Font family:" choose your font

Second option:
1. Do everything as above
2.
Open styles/your_style/template/overall_header.html
Find:(find second code like this, NOT first one !!!)

Code: Select all

{PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO

Replace with:

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG -->
            <
span style="color:{S_RBPM_INSC_COLOR}; font:{S_RBPM_ITALIC} {S_RBPM_VARIANT} {S_RBPM_BOLD} {S_RBPM_SIZE} {S_RBPM_FAMILY}; letter-spacing:{S_RBPM_SPACING}; text-transform:{S_RBPM_TRANSFORM}; text-shadow: {S_RBPM_SHADOWH} {S_RBPM_SHADOWV} {S_RBPM_SHADOW_BLUR} {S_RBPM_INSC_SHADOW_COLOUR}; text-decoration:{S_RBPM_DECORATION};">
        <!-- ENDIF -->
            {
PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO}
        <!-- IF
S_USER_NEW_PRIVMSG -->
            </
span>
        <!-- ENDIF -->

3. Refresh style and purge the cache in ACP.

First of all thank you for helping me!

I want to achieve the second option. I have tried your instructions but I can't get the "unread messages" text to be blue if I set "blinking and formatting text:" to No, it's just black. If I turn it back on I get the correct blue color on the "unread messages" text but then everything starts blinking.

What is the default font color of your board?
(I guess is balck.)

1. Open: styles/your_style/template/overall_header.html
Find:(find second code like this, NOT first one !!!)

Code: Select all

&amp; {PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO_UNREAD}

Replace with

Code: Select all

<span style="color:{S_RBPM_UNREAD_COLOR}">&amp; {PRIVATE_MESSAGE_INFO_UNREAD}</span>

2. Refresh style and purge the cache in ACP.
3.
- Tab: Colour
- Set Colour of unread: to #105289
From now the color of "unread" should always be blue.
