Forum Permissions for Blog Posts

by Nuramon » Sun Jun 24, 2012 8:54 am

Is it possible to use the forum permissions for the blog posts?
I just can change if users or friends can see my blog.
I have a user-group, wich can see a special forum. Is it possible to make, that just this special group just see the blog-entrys, if the User choose?

There are user level permissions in the ACP that can be configured, along with the other board permission settings, so you can do whatever you want.

Under ACP (Administrator Control Panel) > Permissions > Groups Permissions > Select group > Advanced Permissions > Blog

There you will find everything you need to set up your permissions for the blog.

SeanWHall,

I don't have an "Advanced Permissions" or anything about Blog permissions under the Group Permissions section dropdown. I'd like to keep guests from posting at all. As it is right now, I don't see an option to remove this, a guest only has to pass through a captcha in order to make a blog post.

Any ideas?

FOUND IT!!!

I had a "duh" moment. What I didn't realize is that when you say "Select group" you didn't mean a special group called "blog" but in fact the group called "Guests." Once I got into guests and found the advanced settings, I saw the option at the very bottom specifying "Guests can make blog posts." I moved that to "no" and I'm all set!

Thanks!
