Changing the message

Great mod, I really like it! Is it possible to customise the message to keep it a bit more interesting for people. I was wondering if I could use it to direct people to other parts of the site.

Thanks!

You can put what ever you like in the welcome box.
Links to other parts of your board is no problem.

If you want me to help you, you have to specify what you want out and what you want in.

Open: styles/prosilver/template/index_body.html
You added some code there. Its in that code you make the changes.

Ah, that's why I'm confused - I just used the Automod tool, I didn't edit the code myself so wasn't sure which files had been changed. Okay, I'll give that a try. Thanks

Okay, so I can see where it refers to this mod:

Code: Select all

<dt>{L_WELCOME_TO_MOD} {SITENAME}</dt>
                                              </dl>

but not where there's any text to edit. What am I looking for?

This:

Code: Select all

{L_WELCOME_TO_MOD}
refers to an entry in the language file.
That is the code you added in language/your_language/common.php
It will start with:

Code: Select all

'WELCOME_TO_MOD'
and then some text to edit.
You can change the text in the language file or just add it directly in the html file.

OKay thanks. As I said, I didn't add the code myself, I used the tool that does it all for you so I'm not being totally moronic!

Hmm, there's no text like that in the common.php file. I don't know whether that's because I used automod but I assumed it would do the same thing. Any other ideas?

It is in language/en/common.php at the very bottom.
