That opens up the FTP settings Again image below.
You should first try FTP as Upload Method, and only if that doesn't work and you are sure the other settings are correct, try Simple Socket.
For FTP host, FTP username, FTP password, FTP port and FTP timeout you should use the same settings that you use when you connect using your favorite FTP client (for example, FileZilla).
Standard settings for FTP port is 21 and for FTP timeout is 60. The password is not stored anywhere by AutoMOD so you need to enter it manually for each connection. Most modern browsers can save the username/password pair for you if you want.
The Path to phpBB is the path from your FTP root. If you don't know how to find that look in What's my FTP Path?
With FTP as Write Method you will see the FTP settings box on each AutoMOD page.
