Disabling extension causes forum to become a blank page

by Roots » Sun Oct 14, 2018 10:57 pm

I realize I shouldn't have done this now, but I installed this extension on my live forums instead of a locally running one because I simply wanted to take a look at the generated output without having to setup a local environment first. Well everything worked okay and after I was finished, I decided to disable the extension since it's page is visible to everyone. As soon as I did that, my forums were dead without an explanation. This happened on a live forum running phpBB 3.2.3.

I realize it's probably not a high priority to fix since you shouldn't run this on a live site, but thought I'd report it all the same. Now I need to figure out how to fix this.

Fixed it! I looked at the error_log file and saw a bunch of repeated statements.

Code: Select all

[14-Oct-2018 23:09:57 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Twig_Error_Loader: There are no registered paths for namespace "phpbb_skeleton" in "overall_header.html" at line 63. in /home/.../public_html/forum/vendor/twig/twig/lib/Twig/Loader/Filesystem.php:209

The fix is to simply clear your cache. Navigate to the base directory of your forum and run the following command:

rm -r cache/*

Refresh your browser and everything should be back to normal.
