Adding Buttons to Nav. Bar

How do you add additional links in the navigation bar that look like the others? At the beginning in between or the end of the other buttons of "Board index/FAQ" ect.?

Or is there a really good mod out there that helps to do this that's compatible with this custom template?

In overall_header.html, find

Code: Select all

               <li><a href="{U_FAQ}">{L_FAQ}</a></li>

Add after

Code: Select all

               <li><a href="http://www.example.com">Example</a></li>

Would give you this:
Testing Board ‹ Index page.png

Okay thanks, and that worked out perfect.

Now just how do I change where it says board index in the nav. bar? To, for example: Forum Index

In language/en/common.php is 'FORUM_INDEX' => 'Board index',

Be especially careful with language files, use the wrong editor and it's easy to end up with blank white screens where your forum pages should be displayed; caused by adding a BOM.
See under Text editor programs here [kb=tools-needed-to-set-up-and-customise-phpbb]Tools needed to set up and customise phpBB[/kb]

Ok, and thank you for that additional information, I have many times got that white screen problem.

What is BOM?

And what does an FTP app need to have to not caused the white page problem? I do use an app that was listed I believe in the applications that Can be used called "Transmit" for Mac but that FTP client does give me the white page problem.

And what does a text/code editing app need to have to not cause the white page problem?

A Byte order mark (BOM) - usually looks something like this in a php file and can be found just before the opening <?php code.
A space before <?php can cause white pages too.

With Notepad++ (as your editor) for windows you set it up like so

I presume there's something similar for mac

I use CuteFTP as my FTP client, the recommended free one though is Filezilla.
