Separating the posts

by mdallaire12 » Mon Jan 10, 2011 8:09 pm

Right now, most of the 219 members of my forum likes the new Style, your Style! The only common negative point that I receive is that it is too difficult to see where a post ends and the other begins because of the darkness of the separation.

What I would like to do is to change the color of the post area border to have it white, just like the small division between the post and the user's profile to the right.

Now, I'm asking some help! I know that in order to do this, I should change the value of that color in the proper CSS sheet, but what is the good value and on what sheet? Or am I assuming that this would be that easy but in fact, this is more complicated? Please help!

Thanks

PS : my forum is http://www.northerndefenders.org/forum if you want to have a peak

To change them you need to open colours.css.

To change the border around the posts you need to edit .bg1, .bg2 and .bg3.

Alternatively you could open common.css find

Code: Select all

.post {
   padding: 0 10px;
   margin-bottom: 4px;
   background-repeat: no-repeat;
   background-position: 100% 0;
}

And change margin-bottom: 4px; to a higher value to increase the spacing without changing the colors. Up to you though.

I did it with no change. I refreshed the Theme and still no change. That is weird... probably forgetting something
