How to suppress display of the statistics?

by Heydenreich » Fri Oct 27, 2017 11:24 am

Hi,

I would like to remove the display of the 'Statistics' section for non-logged in users of the forum, either totally or at least the 'last registered member' entry.

After doing a bit of internet search, I found that this is theme-dependent. I already included

Code: Select all

<!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN and not S_IS_BOT -->
with the respective <!-- ENDIF --> around

Code: Select all

<!-- IF NEWEST_USER -->
both in the flat-style\template\index_body.html and in the prosilver\template\index_body.html (just for the case it refers to this value).

However, no change is visible. I already cleared the Browser cache. I found some mentions of clearing the Theme-Cache, but I could not find where in the ACP this is possible.

I am running a 3.2.1 board. Please ask, if you need any more specifications.

Thanks!

You need to purge your board cache which can be found under the 'General' tab in your ACP. Theres no need to change the prosilver version as the flat-style file takes precedence.

Thanks for your answer, I finally found how to clear the cache - it is quite obvious but I just seem to have missed it.. But it is good to know that flat-style takes the precedence.

Actually, I found an important error I did in the implementation of the <!-- IF S_USER_LOGGED_IN and not S_IS_BOT --> statement: I erroneously placed it outside of the <!-- IF NEWEST_USER --> statement, though it of course has to be inside this statement (which totally makes sense).
