Change post body background color

by Fast_Eddie » Thu Jun 09, 2016 9:12 pm

Hello,
Would anyone happen to know how to change the background color of a posted message ? It's currently gray and I would like to change it to a solid black.

This solution is no longer valid in the latest version of this style. Post background colors are controlled by .bg1 and .bg2 on lines 123 and 131 of colours.css

I always used the BLACK style. I liked it especially when I changed to blue portions to gold. However BLACK no longer functions correctly with 3.2. This appears to be next best even though it's a tad bright. My question would be I like running a background image. How would I go about making the forum areas, "the shades of black" etc to have a say 80 percent transparency?I would like the background to faintly show through the everything.....

One difficulty is, that you have more than one div as adult-elements for the background-image. You could use

background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.8);

The 0.8 means 80 percent opacity.

Start with .wrap at first and then work yourself through the div-backgrounds.

Im dumb, can someone help me understand how to edit the .css file? I can find it in my control panel but its not something I can edit in any way.

I want to change the ne-blackgreen colors as well.

You have to change them in the filesystem. Use ftp or webftp to connect with your webserver. Download the css-file you want to change an upload it again. Then delete the cache from the admin-panel-startpage and hit CTRL+F5 in your Browser on Startpage to see the difference.
