Topic Rules, bbcode [b][/b] issue

Hi all..

I loved this style.

but when I set forum rules text option on ACP and use bbcode bold [b ] [/ b] on this text, after when rules is displayed on board, this style changes the background color of the bolded text line and sometimes mixes the text.

on prosilver, forum rules panel works perfectly.

text from ACP Forum Rules field:

Code: Select all

[b][color=#BF0000][u]ATENÇÃO[/u]: Regras para postagem de anúncio:[/color][/b]

[b]Título do tópico: Vendo|Compro Modelo, motorização - ano - UF - valor[/b]
Exemplo: Vendo Xsara 2.0 16v - 1998 - SP - R$ 8.000,00

[b]Mensagem do tópico:[/b]
Informe detalhes, local, contato como telefone, email e whatsapp e poste fotos.

Utilize o recurso [img]http://www.ccdob.com.br/forum/images/solved.png[/img][u]Tópico Resolvido[/u] para marcar como vendido ou comprado. Aparecerá [color=#004000][FINALIZADO][/color] automaticamente no título e o tópico será trancado.

Hi,

This is happening because the style is an edit of the pbWOW style. So in the "Stylesheet.css" file, it has defined the following:

Code: Select all

div.rules strong {
   background: #732e03;

The background colour above, is the 'brown' colour you see when you use the tags because this relates to the <STRONG></STRONG> tag HTML markup.

A simple solution would be to either, change the colour to something you desire by finding the above code in the "Stylesheet.css" file and changing the "#732e03" number to your desired colour.

if you don't want any colour background using the bold tags and you just want it to be bolded do the following:

Open file: "\styles\pbtech\theme\stylesheet.css" and Ctrl+F and paste in:

Code: Select all

div.rules strong {

Then replace this block with the following:

Code: Select all

/*div.rules strong {
   background: #732e03;
   border: none;
   border-radius: 5px 5px 0 0;
   color: #FFF;
   font-family: "Trebuchet MS",Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
   padding: 5px;
   box-shadow: none;
}*/

Then open file: "\styles\pbtech\theme\pbwow.css" and Ctrl+F and paste in:

Code: Select all

div.rules strong {

Then replace this block with the following:

Code: Select all

/*div.rules strong {
   display: block;
   background: #320000;
   background: linear-gradient(to bottom, rgba(40, 1, 1, 1) 0, rgba(60, 5, 5, 1) 25px);
   border: 1px solid transparent;
   border-color: #600C0C #000 #000 #500C0C;
   padding: 6px;
   margin: -10px -10px -5px -10px;
   font-size: 1.3em;
   text-align: center;
   text-transform: capitalize;
   box-shadow: 0 0 3px #000;
}*/

This will comment out all of the style changes and restore the old Bold bbCode as intended.

Save both files, and refresh. :)
