How do i make new categories? I went in to manage forums.. create new forum.. forum type selected category.. no parent selected. Write in forum name and description and create but nothing shows up when i refresh my website. The exisiting category that was there i deleted and it removed but i cannot add new ones. what am i doing wrong im really new to all this so kindly help me out on this.

actually i got it i had to set permissions in order for the categories to show on the forum.

Yep, it's awesome and crazy at the same time how everything is permission based. If something doesn't work, it's probably because a permission from a group or roles or types aren't set up, and then when adding extensions they all have permissions tucked away everywhere
