I tried editing both "overall_header.html" and "navbar_header.html" in the Prosilver template folder, but the changes don't appear. What am I doing wrong? I dislike the "Quick Links" dropdown and want to make a custom menu.

After making the changes, did you purge the cache in the ACP?
Also in the ACP is "recompile style components" under the "load settings" tab, try enabling that and then seeing if your changes show.
