We are waiting for the code review by the phpBB submissions team. Due to a silly mistake on my part when uploading the latest candidate, I think that we went to the back of the queue...

I have just been informed that v2.5.8 is approved and is available for download from the phpBB database!

I tested the v2.5.8 theme on phpBB v3.2.3 and it's working well

Many thanks for this option, and among with the other option to set the background color of the header (which I didn't noticed in the past) I now don't need to edit anything in this theme, it's already perfect as we_universal has always been!

For the vast majority of phpBB boards, this version of we_universal (v2.5.8) is recommended for use with phpBB v3.2.8. If you install an extension that uses the new template events introduced in phpBB v3.2.8, you should install we_universal v2.5.9 (https://github.com/v12mike/we_universal ... .9-rc1.zip) and use that intead.

I've installed v2.5.9 on a forum I've just taken over. Is there any disadvantage in running this version? I'm just wondering why you recommend 2.5.8.

For what it's worth, v2.5.9 seems to work perfectly with the extensions that are installed (some of which are quite old).

Nice style. The inclusion of a custom.css is handy (I've already been using it).

You have slightly misunderstood the situation. This is an old topic which pre-dates v2.5.9, the mention of phpBB v3.2.8 in the title was to indicate that the (then) current release of the style was compatible with that new version of phpBB, because it sometimes takes several weeks to get a new version of a style approved.

I have edited the first post to clarify that v2.5.9 is now the preferred version.
