In phpBB v. 3.3.13 we_universal 2.7.2 the left side topic icons from prosilver/theme/images are lined through in "inspect" and the computed row says background-image none, but I want the prosilver gif images from prosilver colours.css (or a set from we_universal/theme/images) to show.

I don't know where the icons that do show come from, they seem to be default images not anywhere in the prosiver or we_universal files.

How can I stop the line through for the whole forum?

I've reverted to the previous we_universal version to get the icons I want.

These icons are from the fontawesome font, so there are no .GIF images for folder icons in this version of the style.
That said, these days, replacing svg icons with .gif icons doesn't make sense.

However, if you want to get back the look of the old version with new svg icons, you can try with the stylesheet contained in the following archive (replace the existing stylesheet in WE_Universal/theme
it's not exactly the same, but you'll get the same general look plus the day/night change
