I want to give you one important information.

Serbian language (sr) is not using Latin alphabet acording to ISO/FDIS 12199, but Serbo-Croatian(sh) and Croatian(hr) does.

Coding gideline for phpBB: http://area51.phpbb.com/docs/coding-guidelines.html#translation

According to guidelines, there is no meniton of ISO/FDIS 12199 and RFC 4646 should be used http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc4646.txt for tags to identify languages. Section 2.2.3. of RFC 4646 states that "sr-Latn" represents Serbian written using the Latin script" using sr as main tag and Latin as subtag.

Page 55 of RFC 4646:
sr-Cyrl (Serbian written using the Cyrillic script)
sr-Latn (Serbian written using the Latin script)
