Esas variables fueron eliminadas precisamente en la actualización de 3.2.3 a 3.2.4
Y los paquetes de idioma han sido validados, con lo cual teóricamente, son correctos.

Quando vou em PCA/Personalizar/Paquetes de idiomas e clico em "Spanish (Formal Honorifics)", recebo aquela mensagem de erro de strings faltantes.

Descobri o mistério: A linguagem pt_br estava desatualizada (3.2.2) e ainda continha aquelas strings. Por alguma estranha razão, o phpbb3 examina os arquivos de todas as linguagens e monta uma tabela com todas as variáveis encontradas. Depois compara se falta alguma string em uma determinada linguagem.
Removi estas strings do idioma pt_br e as mensagens de erro no espanhol sumiram!
